Eighty percent of fish species live in saltwater environments. The phenomenal diversity of life in the oceans is reproduced and enjoyed in saltwater aquariums. Although more difficult and costlier to maintain than freshwater aquariums, the great multitude of life forms, and the unique behaviors of saltwater fish create unique marine and reef aquariums.
