Today DrTom saw that his
Copadichromis borleyi had changed from the way it looked in the upper picture to the way it looks in the lower picture, just above. DrTom says he thought, "Oh joy, it's beginning to color up." ;^ }
This Borleyi's ancestors lived in Lake Malawi, but it was born and raised on famous fish farm, where it grew to be about 1.5" long. Then DrTom got it, put it one of his aquariums, and fed it premium fish food flakes and pellets. It's quickly grown to be about 2.5" long and eventually will grow to be about 6.5" long.

Aquariums Reduce Stress
There is lots of scientific evidence that aquariums reduce stress. Sitting for a few minutes in front of an aquarium usually reduces blood pressure and relaxes tense muscles.
This is much better than television, computers, the internet, cell phones, and other type of mass media. Try it!
Without a doubt these are the most dazzlingly beautiful
Swordtails that we've ever seen, and they are a good example of the Premium Pet Fish that we sell on this website.
But we only have males right now, which might disappoint some customers, who want to breed them.
The problem may be in the gene that produces the Hifin in Swordtails, because that gene is lethal in fish that get two copies. So the male shown above and all Hifin Swordtails have one gene for Hifin and one gene for a regular top fin. This means there is no pure strain of Hifin Swordtails.
If you want a beautiful Swordtail in your aquarium, this is the fish for you. If you want to try breeding them, then get some young females to breed with one of these males, and you should get some Hifin descendants.

This fish is new, rare, and very interesting. Ours are all wild fish, which were caught in small rivers in northern Burma in Asia. Like many fish from rivers, they are long, slender, and need to live in very fresh water. So we give their aquarium frequent partial water changes and plenty of aeration. DrTom recommends a Bio-Wheel Filter.

Shipping Charges
You pay$33.25 to ship any size order. This includes the cost for the special insulated carton, packing the fish, and we prepay the delivery company.
You pay for the fish you want at the prices shown on our Price List plus one charge of $33.25 for shipping one order with as many fish as you order to one address.
FREE SHIPPING on LIVE ORDERS over $139.00 There's always an additional charge of $20.00 for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii. If you request delivery on Saturday, there's an additional charge of $15.00.
We try our best to keep shipping charges down, but we want to maximize the safety of the fish that are shipped, because we love them a lot. So we ship using "Overnight". The boxes leave here late in the afternoon and almost always arrive before noon the next day, and that's very safe for the fish.
Long ago a very nice fellow ordered one Ghost Shrimp for much less than $1.00 and the shipping charges were much, much more than that for one small box. Before shipping, we called him, and he said he was perfectly happy with the charges!
We were amazed and ended up sending him two extra free shrimps. He called back a couple of days later to thank us, and even said that it's much better watching three shrimps interact than just having one.
About a week or two later he order hundreds of fish. In fact his order required three or four large boxes! He was charged the same shipping charges.
So ... one shrimp or hundreds of fish the shipping charges are usually the same ... except we now temporarily offer ...
