Continued list of
Featured Items
We've got about 300-aquariums with freshwater fish. Jeremy, David, Stephanie, Bruce, Nevin, and even DrTom pick out some of the best to list here !

Gold Tiger Barbs

21 May 2015
Gold Tiger Barbs
These guys really battle with each other. Head to head, then all of a sudden, they swim in a very small circle, each one chasing the other one's tail.

They're the same species as the Regular Tiger Barb, but they lack the darker pigments, which makes them look mostly yellow, red, and orange. Especially if you feed them plenty of premium food.

Red Ryukin Fantail

21 May 2015
Red Ryukin Fantail
Where in the world can you get a fish like this one? We have a few right now that are almost this nice.

To get one to look like the one in this picture, you'll need to keep the water very good and feed premium food for several weeks.

Then voila! Yours may be better than DrTom's. After all he doesn't claim to have all the best fish!  ;^ }

Glowlight Tetra

Rummy Nose Tetra

Beautiful Tetras
These two fish are members of the genus Hemigrammus, which is a group of fish that naturally live in South America but are now raised by fish farmers all over the world. These are wonderful and very popular aquarium fish. They need warm water with good filtration. They eat flake food and are highly recommended.

Ghost Shrimp dancing on the back of Dragon Fish.

Ghost Shrimp

21 May 2015
Ghost Shrimp
In the top picture, just above, you can see a young Ghost Shrimp showing off and having fun dancing on the back of a Dragon Fish. This little Daredevil was living life dangerously.

The next night the Ghost Shrimp disappeared from the Aquarium. Still it looked like fun while it lasted.

Frontosa, Cichlid from Lake Tanganyika, East Africa

20 May 2015
6-Striped Frontosa
Just above is a picture of a magnificent Frontosa male that lives in one of DrTom's big aquariums.

This fish is a large mature male Frontosa, whose ancestors lived in Lake Tanganyika, which is also in East Africa. But this fish was also born on a wonderful fish farm and raised up by DrTom.

This fish was about 1.5" long, when DrTom got him. This is an example of what you can do by feeding them plenty of  premium food and patiently taking good care of them.

Honey Gouramis

20 May 2015
Golden Honey Gourami
This is yet another fabulous aquarium fish, especially for smaller aquariums, because Honey Gouramis only grow to be at most 2" long. Well that might not be entirely true ... mostly true but not always true, because unlike mammals, fish continue to grow their entire lives. So occasionally there's specimen that's much much larger than normal.

But this is a small fish that does very well with other small fish like Neon Tetras, While Clouds, and Cory Catfish. They prefer to eat premium flake food. We love them. The one shown above is a beautiful golden male. This is a very highly recommended aquarium fish.

Aquarium Tetras at AquariumFish.net

20 May 2015
Is that a Piranha?
It looks like a Piranha. Can you see those white teeth? But it's a Blue Flame Tetra, which is related to Piranhas, and to us it looks just like a miniature Piranha, swimming in one of our beautiful Amazon Aquariums!

Blue Flame Tetras are very good aquarium fish, because they're very hardy, very energetic, grow to a nice size of about 2", are very easy to feed, don't bother other fish but are able to swim fast to avoid being bothered by other fish, and they're ... inexpensive! So we like them a lot!

Redtail Blue Loach

19 May 2015
Redtail Blue Loach
Here's a very beautiful Loach that used to be very popular but now seems to be less common. It should still be very popular, because it's very hardy and energetic, and doesn't cause much trouble, but is able to fend off trouble makers, and does very well on a diet of premium fish food.

Click here to read more details about where we ship.

Shipping Charges

You pay shipping to ship any size order. This includes the cost for the special insulated carton, packing the fish, and we prepay the delivery company.

You pay for the fish you want at the prices shown on our Price List plus one charge of shipping for shipping one order with as many fish as you order to one address.
FREE SHIPPING on LIVE ORDERS over $169.99
There's always an additional charge of $20.00 for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii. If you request delivery on Saturday, there's an additional charge of $16.00.
We try our best to keep shipping charges down, but we want to maximize the safety of the fish that are shipped, because we love them a lot. So we ship using "Overnight". The boxes leave here late in the afternoon and almost always arrive before noon the next day, and that's very safe for the fish.
Long ago a very nice fellow ordered one Ghost Shrimp for much less than $1.00 and the shipping charges were much, much more than that for one small box. Before shipping, we called him, and he said he was perfectly happy with the charges!
We were amazed and ended up sending him two extra free shrimps. He called back a couple of days later to thank us, and even said that it's much better watching three shrimps interact than just having one.
About a week or two later he order hundreds of fish. In fact his order required three or four large boxes! He was charged the same shipping charges.
So ... one shrimp or hundreds of fish the shipping charges are usually the same ... except we now temporarily offer ...
