Continued list of
Featured Items
We've got about 300-aquariums with freshwater fish. Jeremy, David, Stephanie, Bruce, Nevin, and even DrTom pick out some of the best to list here !

Female Red Betta

Female Blue Betta

10 May 2015
Female Bettas
Here are new pictures of our Female Bettas, and we have lots of Female Bettas with excellent coloration. These females are very young and just beginning to fill with eggs.

Several Female Betta Fish can live together in the same aquarium unlike Male Betta Fish that will fight and harm each other, when kept in the same aquarium.

We feed our Female Bettas premium pellet food, which they gobble up. Feeding premium pellets greatly increases their energy, coloration, and sheen. Premium foods are also more digestible with no fillers, so there is less waste, and the water stays cleaner.

Angelfish

10 May 2015
Beautiful Angelfish
This is one of DrTom's beautiful freshwater Angelfish. In particular it's a Leopard Angelfish, a very nice one.

DrTom got this fish from AquariumFish.net, and raised it up in a 55-gallon aquarium, feeding it premium flake and pellet foods 5 to 8-times a day.

Each feeding was a small meal about 60% of the maximum amount the Angelfish could eat at one time. It's not good to feed them the maximum amount they can eat at one time.

Angelfish are wonderful aquarium fish, and it's lots of fun to raise up a beautiful Angelfish like this one. Give it a try.

Assorted Pond Koi
It's been spring for about 3-weeks. Spring is pond time, and Koi are born to live in a pond.

Everyone of these Assorted Koi would love to come and live in a big pond in your backyard.

These are very high quality premium Koi that we sell at bargain prices.

Emperor Pleco L204 at AquariumFish.net

09 May 2015
Emperor Plecostomus
Without a doubt this is one of the prettiest Plecostomus Catfish, as you can see in the picture, just above. This Pleco is a member of the Panaque genus, but probably doesn't have a complete scientific name yet. It does have an L-number, which is L204. If you've wanted one, these are in great shape.

Sunset Cichlid male about 4" long

09 May 2015
Sunset Cichlid
A long-long time ago, when DrTom and Nevin Bailey were kids, they kept and loved some Sunset Cichlids.

The Brothers were always asking lots of questions, and when they asked about the name of this fish, their favorite old-timer, Frank Dayes, said to just look at the colors and the horizontal line.

Nowadays this Cichlid is often called the Nicaragua Cichlid
, but the Bailey Bros. can still hear Frank's explanation. So we call this fish the Sunset Cichlid. Whatever the name this is a gorgeous cichlid that's less aggressive than most Cichlids and very hardy.

The one in the picture is a mature male about 4" long and showing his full colors. The ones now are 2" to 2.5" long and show no colors. Feed them premium food then watch them grow fast and develop wonderful colors. This is a highly recommended aquarium fish.

09 May 2015
Pearl Gourami
Not too colorful when young, like many freshwater aquarium fish they become gorgeous as they mature.

Ram Cichlids

08 May 2015
Gold Ram Cichlid
This is a bright golden fish with orange shading and a dark red eye. All of which creates a marvelous contrast with the varying shades of green in the live plants.

They get as big as 3" long and have a very mellow attitude. So they do well with Tetras such as Neons, Cardinals, Serpaes, Rummy Noses, and all the rest.

Rams and Tetras all love to eat premium flake foods. Highly recommended.

Asian Bumblebee Catfish

08 May 2015
Asian Bumblebee Catfish
This is a very pretty aquarium catfish, which is caught wild in Asia and is not produced by fish farmers.

It prefers water with a pH slightly below 7.0 and low to moderate hardness, which are both  lower than most of the water in North America.

But this catfish can tolerate harder water with a higher pH, and so most aquarists do more harm than good trying to adjust their water chemistry.

An Asian Bumblebee Catfish will swallow any fish that fits into its mouth. So tankmates must be large enough not to be eaten.

This species will fight with catfish that look similar but is peaceful with other fish. So we recommend keeping just one Bumblebee Cat, unless the bottom area of the aquarium is at least 72" by 16".

Asian Bumblebee Catfish love eating premium pellet food and can grow quickly to be about 6" long, when well fed in an aquarium with good water.

Kohaku Swordtail Male

Kohaku Koi Swordtail female

08 May 2015
Kohaku (Koi) Swordtails
The top picture shows a young male, and the bottom picture shows a young female Kohaku Sword. Both of them have a unique pattern of orange and white, which is similar to the Kohaku Koi, and so this Swordtail is called a Kohaku.

Whatever the name, this is a beautiful aquarium fish that's also very hardy and energetic.

Shipping Charges

You pay shipping to ship any size order. This includes the cost for the special insulated carton, packing the fish, and we prepay the delivery company.

You pay for the fish you want at the prices shown on our Price List plus one charge of shipping for shipping one order with as many fish as you order to one address.
FREE SHIPPING on LIVE ORDERS over $169.99
There's always an additional charge of $20.00 for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii. If you request delivery on Saturday, there's an additional charge of $16.00.
We try our best to keep shipping charges down, but we want to maximize the safety of the fish that are shipped, because we love them a lot. So we ship using "Overnight". The boxes leave here late in the afternoon and almost always arrive before noon the next day, and that's very safe for the fish.
Long ago a very nice fellow ordered one Ghost Shrimp for much less than $1.00 and the shipping charges were much, much more than that for one small box. Before shipping, we called him, and he said he was perfectly happy with the charges!
We were amazed and ended up sending him two extra free shrimps. He called back a couple of days later to thank us, and even said that it's much better watching three shrimps interact than just having one.
About a week or two later he order hundreds of fish. In fact his order required three or four large boxes! He was charged the same shipping charges.
So ... one shrimp or hundreds of fish the shipping charges are usually the same ... except we now temporarily offer ...
