Premium Quality
Rainbow Shark for Sale

Also called a Red Finned Shark

Rainbow Shark for sale

Shown above, a Rainbow Shark for sale in our online store. Almost 4" long, very hardy, energetic, and fun to watch interacting with the other fish.

Sometimes two of these Red Fin Rainbow Sharks get very excited, swim along side each other, and open and close their mouths rapidly.

At that time their white "lips" are very prominent. There are more pictures of Rainbow Sharks below on this page.

Our Pictures

This website has lots of pictures of the fish that we offer for sale. Will the fish you get look like the fish in our pictures? No! This is like buying a kitten or a puppy, that will change as it grows and matures.

Click here to read more about our fish.

We stock and ship fish that are the ideal size to ship. Not so small that they will not do well when shipped. Yet not so big that they will have trouble adjusting to a new home.

The fish in almost all of our pictures were young fish like the ones we ship that we raised up, and you can too!

Comments
When they live together in large numbers in large aquariums, these sharks get along very well with each other.
But if you have less than six sharks, they'll begin to quarrel, and the weakest ones will be miserable. So if you keep Red Finned Rainbow Sharks, keep one or keep many, but don't keep just a few together in the same aquarium.

Rainbow Sharks are Beautiful, energetic, hardy, and rather aggressive to other Sharks, but not quite as aggressive as Red Tail Sharks. Most sharks are not aggressive to other types of fish. So sharks make good tank mates for many types of fish. But as mentioned above it's best to have just one Rainbow Shark or one Redtail Shark in an aquarium, or more than six, but not just a few.

Buying Albino Rainbow Sharks for sale at our retail store.   This picture shows some Pink Rainbow Sharks in our facility. They are the same species as Rainbow Sharks, just a different color variety. Pink Rainbows are less aggressive than Rainbows.

Appropriate Home
An aquarium with an exterior power filter with a BIO-Wheel, a maximum of 1/4-inch of gravel, and an aquarium heater adjusted to between 76 and 80 degrees F. Eventually a Rainbow Shark will need a large aquarium with at least 50-gallons of water. Click here for more about warm water aquariums.

All Sharks are Jumpers, so the aquarium they live in must have a cover with no holes. Click here for more information about aquarium covers.

Rainbow Sharks need a piece of pipe or a cave. Pieces of plastic pipe were cut from a long pieces of pipe that we bought at Home Depot. Before we put the pieces of pipe in our aquariums, we cleaned them in warm water. Next we tested them in a small aquarium with a few fish to be sure they weren't toxic.

Finally we put the pieces of pipe in our large aquariums with lots of fish. You might prefer to buy an ornamental cave or rocks that is labeled for use in aquariums. Click here for more about how to avoid contaminating your aquarium.

Cichlid Stones - Ceramic Aquarium Caves - Click on this image to buy Cichlid Stones.

Most Sharks, Loaches, and Eels love Cichlid Stones, which are natural looking ceramic aquarium caves . Click here for more about Cichlid Stones.

Recommended Diet
Floating flake food. Perhaps some sinking food pellets but be careful because uneaten food will soon spoil and pollute the water. Be sure to always use a small net to remove uneaten food after about 10-minutes. Click here for more about feeding fish. I feed these fish a few Black Worms every other day. Click here for more about Black Worms.
