On this page you can buy the complete line of aquarium ornaments produced by Underwater Galleries. To buy any ornament shown on this page just click on the corresponding orange colored PayPal "Add to Cart" button. To see everything in your shopping cart, click on a “View Cart” button.
Underwater Galleries' ceramic ornaments are a natural alternative to plastic, resin-based ornaments. The colors are fused to the ceramic material during the firing process, so there is no paint to chip, crack, or peel. The ceramic production process is the most environmentally responsible “green” way to manufacture aquarium décor, and the pieces are ideal for use in aquariums.
Above: a 15-Pack Kit of Cichlid Stones™
The picture, shown just above, is a 29-gallon standard shape aquarium decorated with one 15-Pack Kit of Cichlid Stones, creating a natural looking aquarium for the young Mbuna Cichlids that live in this aquarium and love these aquarium caves.
Cichlid Stones™
These aquarium caves are great for fish that like rocks and caves such as the Mbuna Cichlids from Lake Malawi, many types of Cichlids from Lake Tanganyika, many Neotropical Cichlid species such as Convict Cichlids, most Plecostomus Catfish species, Loach species like Clown Loaches and Yoyo Loaches, Eels like Peacock Eels and Fire Eels, Sharks like Red Tails and Rainbow Shark, and many more types of pet fish. These aquarium caves are a wonderful addition to almost all aquariums.
Cichlid Stones are porous, hollow, lightweight, and provide spaces for fish to explore, hide, and breed. They are available in three sizes with a total of six different stones. The stones are irregularly shaped with multiple perspectives allowing you to place them in various positions and directions to create truly unique and interesting aquascapes. Sea Caves
Sea Caves provide a place for your fish to interact, explore, and hide. In addition, they work well in a desert reptile environment, because they are ideal for use with a basking lamp. The "stone" ceramic surface provides a warm radiant heat source for use by desert reptiles. Because the colors are fused to the pieces in the firing process, these ceramic caves are easy to clean and sterilize.

Taking a Break from the Stresses of Spawning.
Just above, you can see Flame, a mature female so-called Red Zebra. You can just barely see the eggs in her mouth. She was spawning, before and after this picture was taken, inside a different Cichlid Stone, then taking a break from time to time inside this one. Cichlid Stones make many types of fish more interesting to watch.
How to Pay for your Order
We highly recommend PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still use your credit card in PayPal's shopping cart. Click here for more about how to pay, including more about PayPal.
Just Hanging Out
The picture, just above, shows a male Bushymouth Plecostomus species, and he loves just hanging out inside the passageways of this hollow ceramic Cherrywood Stump, which is listed just below on this page and is an ideal cave for many types of pet fish.
Loaches Exploring Ceramic Driftwood Logs.
The four pictures above show a Clown Loach and a Yoyo Loach poking their heads in and out of Ceramic Driftwood Logs. Loaches love to explore these ornaments, and it's fun to watch them going in and out. The Ceramic Driftwood Logs makes life much more interesting for many types of pet fish.
It's amazing the way Serpae Tetras, like the one shown above, like to swim near these ceramic ornaments. You can almost always find them clustered near the tallest ornament.
The Rainbow Shark, just above, swims out of one of the many openings in this Ceramic Driftwood Ornament. Having a good place to hide is a big stress reducer for most pet fish.
About these Ornaments
The ornaments, shown on this page, are better in aquariums than other ornaments for several reasons.
Non-Toxic
These ornaments are made of a completely non-toxic eco-friendly ceramic material that is very similar to stoneware plates.
Hollow
All of these ornaments are hollow, so they replace less aquarium water; they are lighter, which reduces the pressure these ornaments will put on the bottom of your aquarium, and these hollow ornaments create lots of interesting places for your fish to enjoy exploring.
Beautiful
These ornaments are hand-crafted and can be combined and arranged in many ways to create a wide variety of beautiful and unique aquascapes.
More Fun for You and Your Fish Exploring these ornaments is a favorite activity of many pet fish, including the Mbuna Cichlids from Lake Malawi, many types of Cichlids from Lake Tanganyika, many Neotropical Cichlid species such as Convict Cichlids, most Plecostomus Catfish species, Loach species like the Clown Loach, Peacock and Fire Eels, Red Tail and Rainbow Sharks, and many more. When your fish have fun, you will too.
Shipping Details and Charges
These ornaments will be shipped by ground. We will usually ship within a day or two after receiving your order, and ground delivery will usually take about another 5-days. So you should receive delivery about one week from the day you order.
The shipping charges are $3.99 for each code. If you order one item the shipping charge will be $3.99. If you order additional items with the same code, there will be no additional shipping charges. If you order additional items with different codes, a shipping charge of $3.99 will be added for each item code. You will be able to see all the shipping charges in your PayPal shopping cart before you finalize your order.
At the present time we cannot combine an order for these Ceramic Ornaments with an order for live fish or any other items sold on this web site.

I was waiting until I got my Cichlid Stones before writing back. They were waiting for me at the house when I got home today. Ah, two big boxes and one smaller box.
I have 36 stones in all. 10 of the large stones, 16 medium stones and 10 small stones. I am impressed with the workmanship of the stones. They are very very realistic. Once in the aquarium most people will probably assume they are real stones. They are also very very light weight.
Now my only dilemma is figuring out how to stack them in my aquarium. I plan on a stack on each side of my aquarium. Do you think I need to glue/silicone these stones together. I will probably buy a few more large ones at the Capitol aquarium here in Sacramento. I went down there last weekend to get a peek at the stones but they only had one box out and did not want it opened. Capitol does not seem to eager/aggressive in selling the stones.
I really appreciate your generosity in giving away you really really nice O.B. Zebra's. Now that I have my stones I can get everything situated and hopefully place my order at AquariumFish.net at the end of this month. I am also going to order some of that wonderful food and see if my Mbunas will grow as fast!
Thanks Again,
Rod in Elk Grove
California
Reply. Hello Rod and thank you for your email. Glad to read that you promptly got your shipment of Cichlid Stones. Yes, they look great and are very light weight much lighter than real stones.
I would not try to silicone them together. Just stack them anyway you like. The Mbuna Cichlids seem to like them every which way or any which way. My Mbunas are constantly swimming in and out of the Cichlid Stones. Hiding inside, resting inside, and spawning inside !!
As an experiment I moved all the stones to one end of my Mbuna Aquarium. All my Mbunas abandoned the other end of the aquarium and were closely bunched around the Cichlid Stones, which have completely changed the behavior of my Mbunas and made watching them much more interesting.
Thanks again for ordering some Cichlid Stones and for your email.
Hello Greg! Received my Cichlid Stones order last night and was EXTREMELY PLEASED! The stones were just what I anticipated and desired! I have not put them into use, but they will be perfect for my 125 gallon African cichlid set up.
Thank you very much for the ... awesome service! The delivery boxes came in perfect condition with all the items undamaged and stones packaged very nicely! J
I know your business will grow with the great product.
Mike J.
Reply. Hello Mike, thank you for your email. Glad to know you got your Cichlid Stones and delivery was prompt. Please contact us again if we may be of service to you and your fishes.
... I am interested in the little ceramic caves that are listed and shown at the bottom of your Cichlid Stones page. I have a betta fish and want to get rid of the ugly acrylic cave that he currently uses.
My question is, are the little ceramic caves appropriate for a betta fish?
Specifically, are they smooth enough not to snag his long fins? He hangs out in his current cave a lot, and I had to file ... the edges to be sure they didn't snag him. I like the look of the Cichlid Stones, but he seems to prefer more than one opening.
Thanks, and here's hoping I hear from you!
Erin A.
Reply. Hello Erin, thank you for your relevant question. Cichlid
Stones are very smooth inside and outside, and the edges around the one opening are also very smooth. Your Betta Fish will not snag his fins on a Cichlid Stone.
A Small Cichlid Stone is a very good ornament for a Betta Fish Bowl. Just below is a picture of a male red Betta Fish in a Fish Bowl with a Small Cichlid Stone.
We commend you for removing the sharp edges on your acrylic cave to be sure your Betta wouldn't snag his long fins and suffer an injury. Good thinking!!
The ceramic Jaguar Mask and the Aztec Ruin ornaments, shown above, have three openings and might fit in your Betta Bowl. Thanks again for your email and your question.
Hello Greg. A few months ago I purchased 3-15 packs of your Cichlid Stones for my new 125 gallon African tank.. Its been set up for a few weeks and I wanted to send you some photos and tell you how pleased I am with the Cichlid Stones.
Mike J
Reply. Hello Mike, thank you for your email and your comments about the Cichlid Stones that you purchased. We posted the pictures you sent with your email just above your comments. Your 125-gallon aquarium is spectacular! Congratulations! We like the rather asymmetrical arrangement of the Cichlid Stones with most of the stones on the left side. Very beautiful arrangement.
I order a fifeteen pack and it was delivered three days. Thanks. My favorit things i ever put in my aquarium. My fish love it. Will order another one next week. Thanks - Barny
Reply. Hello Barny, thank you for your comments. We're glad you got your Cichlid Stone order quickly, and your fish are enjoying all those Cichlid Stones. We know that 15 of them can be used to make a wonderful display full of places for your fish to explore and have fun.
