 Acclimating Tropical Fish
Yikes, we just finished making a review of all the advice that we could find on our competitor's websites about acclimating fish, and everything we read on their sites is just plain wrong and much more complicated than our very very easy method.

Glowlight Danio
This fish has been here on this list of Featured Items a couple of times in the past few months, because they're a great aquarium fish. You can see their bodies glisten like pieces of living jewelry.

As we've said before, they're very hardy and energetic, and every time we look at ours, they're more colorful. This one lives in one of DrTom's 29-gallon aquariums, where it gets good care and lots of premium food.

Red Bay Snook Cichlld for sale online

04 December 2014
Red Bay Snook
This fish's ancestors lived in the rivers of Belize, a country on the east coast of Central America, but this fish was born and raised on a famous fish farm.

Snooks are natural predators that eat other fish, but in aquariums they do better eating premium pellet food.

When well fed and cared for they can grow to be 16" long, which is too big for most aquariums, and they can live for many years. So they need a very dedicated owner.

They have a
large, protrusible jaw that can be extended out far and wide to engulf and swallow any fish that will fit! Other than swallowing other fish, Snooks are rather mild tempered.

Like almost all predaceous fish, Snooks are very intelligent and soon become beloved pets.

Male Red Zebra for sale online

04 December 2014
Male Red Zebra
This fish was born in one of DrTom's big aquariums, where it hid among the rocks, when it was small.

One day Nevin saw it, when it was about 1" long, and said, "It's not really red. It's more like persimmon orange." DrTom smiled and decided to name it Little Percy.

But this little fish grew very fast, eating lots of premium flakes then premium pellet food, and soon DrTom could see he was a male.

Percy grew to be about 4" long, and one day he came out from among the rocks to challenge a much bigger male fish, who ruled the entire aquarium.

That afternoon the two males clashed in a ferocious fight, whirling about each other in tight circles. The fight lasted more than 2-hours, and in the end Percy was victorious. DrTom saw it all, and decided to rename him Sir Percival the Brave, the new ruler.

It was a very exciting slice of the way life is for these fish in Lake Malawi. We all hope you carefully watch your fish and enjoy them as much as DrTom enjoys his.

Electric Yellow Labideochromis Cichlid

04 December 2014
Another Fabulous Fish
There's a very funny story about a fellow who was sure this fish was so beautiful that it had to be a saltwater fish. But it's a freshwater fish, whose ancestors lived among the rocks along the shores of Lake Malawi in East Africa.

Some people now call those piles of rocks, rocky reefs, and fish, like this one that live there, reef fish, because Lake Malawi is such a huge lake that it's like an ocean.

Whatever the reason this young male Electric Yellow is a gorgeous fish, and this species is very hardy, very energetic, not too aggressive, and grows to be about 3.5" long, which is a nice size for an aquarium fish.

This species is also likely to breed, especially when
fed plenty of premium foods.

 Our Fish are Better ...
Almost all the photographs and videos, shown on this web site, were taken by us of our fish in our aquariums.

Compare the healthy, beautiful, energetic fish in our beautiful aquariums to the fish in our competitors pictures. Their fish often look thin with clamped fins and poor color.

We buy the highest quality fish, produced by the best fish farms or caught by the best collectors of wild fish, then we take incredibly good care of our fish in our beautiful aquariums.

Compare the pictures on this site to our competitors pictures, you can instantly see, our fish and aquariums are better!  ;^ }

Will the fish you get from us look like the fish in our pictures? No! This is similar to buying kittens and puppies that will change as they grow to become cats and dogs.

We stock and ship fish that are the ideal size to sell. Not so small that they will not do well when shipped. Yet not so big that they have become much more expensive.

The fish in almost all of our pictures were young fish like the ones we have for sale that we raised up, and you can too!

We try our best to keep shipping charges down, but we want to maximize the safety of the fish that are shipped, because we love them a lot. So we ship using "Overnight". The boxes leave here late in the afternoon and almost always arrive before noon the next day, and that's very safe for the fish.
Long ago a very nice fellow ordered one Ghost Shrimp for much less than $1.00 and the shipping charges were much, much more than that for one small box. Before shipping, we called him, and he said he was perfectly happy with the charges!
We were amazed and ended up sending him two extra free shrimps. He called back a couple of days later to thank us, and even said that it's much better watching three shrimps interact than just having one.
About a week or two later he order hundreds of fish. In fact his order required three or four large boxes! He was charged the same shipping charges.
So ... one shrimp or hundreds of fish the shipping charges are usually the same ... except we now temporarily offer ...
